This popular hiking trail is more fun on skis. Got about one mile short of the trailhead where we were stopped by snow. Skied and walked for a bit. Continuous snow about a quarter mile below the TH. Saw one recent ski track otherwise it seemed no else had visited the lookout for a while. The sledders don't seem to go all the way up.

Goat Peak from McLeod Mountain a couple of days earlier. The trailhead is in the forested saddle behind the burned over ridge in the foreground.

Starting out just above where we parked.

Discontinous snow. The mighty Robinson Mountain in the background.

Looking up to Goat Peak.

Looking down from the lookout.
