The road is closed until April 1 for the sleds and then June 1 for the fawns. It takes a while for the road to melt back so the window of opportunity to ski the peak is quite short. Usually by then the pass is clear anyways.
Old sled tracks everywhere. Skied and walked for about one mile till we got in behind the SW ridge of McLeod and there was good snow cover from there. Didn't look like anyone had been up there since the last sledder. Nice and cold for the end of May. Got snowed on down to 5000 feet.
