Met up with Cookie Monster in Burlington and was hiking up the trail at about 730. We were able to skin about a half mile down from where you break out of the trees. We found about an inch of fresher snow over a firm, smooth base. Skinned up to the first small bump and skied back down to the trees and found it to be super nice. Very smooth and fast. We decided to continue up towards the "ski bump" (pt 7242 I believe) and ended as the the hill started to roll over as we were concerned with the increasing temps. Sucker holes rolled in and out making for some tricky lighting but again found excellent snow (about 6" of slightly packed powder). Upon reaching our first turns, the snow had been heated to heavy soft stuff and the last few hundred feet to the trees were super sticky. All in all fantastic snow in late May. Sorry no pics as it was very flat lighting most of the day. Baker never really came out :(.
