The forecast was for weather turning bad, so we decided to take a final short tour in the Ecrins before a long drive to find lift skiing, which we thought a good idea for the coming five days of precipitation and bad visibility. Things seemed to be clouding up early, but as we approached our objective the clouds parted and views were superb again; unfortunately the sun once again made the skiing challenging.
Back to the car shortly after noon, a quick ride back to the gite for a shower, and we bade the Ecrins adieu for this year. But we will be back to Seth's giant playground!
