We started out late, and between burning sun and freezing snow squalls, made our way up Cowboy Mountain. Skinning was easy; no booting required up to the summit. Cornices were small and manageable, with a lot of snow at the summit giving you several good routes down. Near the bottom the snow got very heavy, but it was very enjoyable even below Hogsback.

If you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you don't do it next year.

Glad to see you still enjoying one of your original Cascadian tours! How was the trek thru the woods? Looks like the snow was super compared to our tour on Mt. Catherine just a day later...

Kept the skins on through the woods, and never put on crampons. I saw two tracks heading up from what appeared to be just a day earlier... One appeared to switch to booting about halfway up through the trees.
The snow was awesome, at least on the upper half. Once the mountain lost its pitch it wasn't much fun anymore.
