April 25, 2010, Frisco Tour, Hwy 20

Tobae, Adam, Matt, Dave and I headed out with a bunch of other folks around 9 am from the TH.  Very easy in the trees after a slight snowfall on Saturday, not icey, just sticky.  Lake Ann and Heather Pass a welcome sight for the first time for me this year.  Very mushy underneath new snow untill about 6400 or so, the crust underneath 8" in places.  Followed a couple of crews up to Heather Pass, Paul, Ken and others.  Kept on ridge up towards Frisco to about 7200 and skied a long Westish facing line into Maple Creek drainage.  Good snow for the most part.

It was a long hot walk up to Maple Pass, but the ski towards Rainy Lake was great.  Followed Benj and crew up to Frisco's shoulder and skied down to Lake Ann and the car to finish.  Surprisingly good powder in sections ;-)
