A seven day trip in the Valhalla Range near Nakups BC featured blower conditions and a primo combination of alpine and tree skiing.   The heli-in hut is well equipped, with running water, a sauna, and some solar power for running tunes or charging batteries.  Due to the large amount of new snow received (over 50 CM) during the week we only had one tour into the alpine though we still managed to average 3500' of skiing per day, leaving us wanting to return for more next year. We did not see any evidence of the persistent weak layer issues reported in the interior BC mountains earlier in the season, though this may have been due to our respecting the terrain and recent new snowfall in our route selection.
The little range that rocks.  We go to the other hut, the cat-in Valhalla Mountain Touring (next hut north).  Fantastic terrain and variety - always something good & safe, never skied out.
