Just east of Stevens Pass today we found 4" of light powder on a firm base at the trailhead and 6-8" of light powder on a couple feet of increasingly dense snow at 6500'. The warm sun and occasional breeze made for a very pleasant day with surprisingly minimal deterioration of snow quality on north facing slopes, and some baking on east facing slopes. Without sun and wind affect, turns were effortless and relaxing, enthusiasm and energy level were high, and companions were entertaining. Looks like the day at sea level was pretty good too!
I thought you would call it like "Paradise in Jim Hell". A shot from the lunch spot, looks like a bunny hill ;D
