Enjoyed a day of backcountry skiing outside of Tampico Washington located 40 west of Yakima. Toured up from Eagle Nest Look Out to the summit of Darland Mountain. Great trip in the skins about 1250 vertical and 3 miles. Found some nice snow in the North faced bowls located directly from the summit. The cornices were wild. Snow was reasonable for June. The views of Hood, Adams, Helens, and Rainier were outstanding. ;D
