Hiked up the Comet falls trail to the intersection with Van Trump Creek. Climbed up the short steep section and put my ski's on. Skied through the woods to the upper part of the drainage then up into Van Trump Park. I then skied up toward the Van Trump glacier area my high point was just below the turtle and the edge of the Wilson glacier. My descent route stayed close to the ridge that divides the Wilson and Van Trump Glaciers and down into an un named park area east of Cushman Crest to the top of a cliff area and then toward the drainage at the base of Cushman Crest but not to close. Then the ski's came off and crampons came out do to steep hard icy snow. Ended up in a ditch along the road close to the Nisqually bridge parking. Three cars passed by and then a pickup truck so I stuck my thumb out and they stopped for a quick ride back to my car at Comet Falls trailhead.
