Went up the Clear Creek Route (SE side) of Shasta this weekend. Road is blocked about 1.5 miles below TH. Skinned up to ~9000ft and camped. Only one other couple was around and they left on Sunday. Summitted Sunday and skied down from ~13,800. Snow was soft and nice. Only a small carry was necessary to get from the top of the Wintun back to Clear Creek. It was a fun ride back from camp to the car on Monday: rolly coaster on the ridge above the Mud Creek Canyon. Snow in the trees and on the road below the trailhead is melting fast.
