Arrived at Longmire to an open gate at 9:30, compact snow on the road the whole way, good sign. Third ones in the lot, thankfully the other two were sightseers/ slowshoers. Snow conditions were DEEP. 4 ft plus in most spots./ Trailbreaking was arduous at best, however once the track was laid it was on. Bottomless turns, very light given the regional constraints of the PNW. At the time it was the best BC day of the year. Saw no other skiers at all.
