Beautiful sunny day, dense powder, on a scratchy crust down ~ 6 inches in the trees and 12 to 15 inches in open below about 4800 feet. Consolidating well to the base in the open glades and no apparent crust above 4700-4800' in the north facing open glades . Nothing sliding. Nice uptrack, but not the easiest turns down -- my legs were shot after 3 laps. Today felt more like Cascade winter snows than did Jan or Feb 2010.
