We found sun, clouds, great snow, and some breeze today coming up from a small parking area just north of the pass. The snowpark area at the pass was full with big trucks and snowmobile trailers. We skied three nice 600-800' runs with 2-6" light untracked powder on a firm base, from 5900', NW to NE facing. True north slopes we were on had a thin crust below the powder or in some places wind packed snow over the light crust and powder below, and we heard some settling as we crossed. All other slopes seemed perfectly safe to us.
