We left the Marblemount snopark around 6:30 a.m. to already comfortable temps. As we got past the timberline, there was a little wind that kept us from rocking the speedos, but it was still very sunny and beautiful. Hung out for a while on the summit - made a big couch\windshelter while waiting for the snow to soften. We descended around 1:30 p.m. For maybe the first 1000 feet there was a few of inches of soft over a bit of a crust - more of an issue for this knuckledragger wanting to make deep slashing turns. But after that it was spring skiiing (early March!) at its finest. As reported earlier - the trail is snow free for at least a mile from the trailhead, so plan this trip earlier than later if you want good coverage.
