Brenda and I skied the ridge out towards Dewey Lake then climbed and skied Peak 6567 northwest bowl a couple of times - excellent!. Pretty good snow coverage up high but weak below 5500'. There was a bit of new snow above 5000' so that made the skiing pretty nice - butter. Snow, rain and sun mix nearly all day with a bit of flat light on the peak. Lots of big snowballs sluffing off but nothing major. Waxless skis, no skinning required. View across the highway showed plenty of snow up in the bowl at Sheep Lake but bare on the PCT nearly all the way across the traverse. Coverage looks like we're about where we were 2 weeks later last year.
