I was wasting time looking at more telemetry and forecasts instead of studying tonight and saw the lunar calendar for this weekend. It looks like there will be a full moon on the 28th(Sunday) and there is a possibility of clear skies this weekend. After further research, I found that the moon will rise at about 5pm(correct me if I am wrong). The idea of a moonlight tour intrigued me, but I have never done it before(I am an intermediate backcountry traveler). Are these the correct conditions for a moonlight tour? If so, what area would you suggest for a short tour some night this weekend? Do I need to consider what would be a moonlight aspect? I don't even know where to find out where the moon will rise from(other than looking for it outside). Does anyone with moonlight touring experience care to lead me in the right direction?
