The Olympic's make you work for it, but almost never disappoint.  Great weather and views like everywhere else the last few days.  Snow starts in the basin at about 3600' and gets deep above the headwall at about 4400'.  That 800' between was the only bummer; firm, but not continuous coverage going up and post holing mank or slippery grass coming down.  The 2000' above was easy travel and beautiful old powder or butter corn coming down.  Made it to the upper basin at 6400' and the summit block looked like ice plastered on rock, so left that alone.  Trail is in good condition.
Great idea and nice photos!

Good photos; the slopes look great.  Any road condition problems?

Stunning -- was there any snomo assist on this one?

No snowmo; the TH is about 1500' and the snow line in the Olympics seems to be about 3600'.  The road is normal to Lena Lk TH, then some wash out/rock wash areas after that; sign says high clearance and I would agree.

Nice trip. This is a rare year for access in the eastern Olympics.  Good time to get with it.
