Another green tour: green vegetation, short drive for small carbon footprint, and my friends will be green with envy perhaps. Winds were about 10-15mph quieter today, and once past the windy spot where we stopped yesterday, they dropped quite a bit, almost calm on the summit.
We eyed the north slopes, and since they were crusty on top, we decided to enjoy a short lunch, ski down, and drive home for the Seattle summer weather. Snow was perfect corn for 2000', first on SW (quiet) side of the rib dividing the south and west bowls, then around to the south gully. Thanks Jerry for motivating me not to spend a lazy day at home!
Bonus: we found apfel strudel in Preston and a nice server, it felt almost Austrian!
