Machine powered to the Stuart Lake trailhead, human powered from there. A thin rain crust persisted all the way to the 6,200 foot level. Good powder above that. The fog was filling the valley all day but the couloir remained fog free. Still pretty thin down low. I'm guessing that crossing Mountaineer Creek via the more direct route would be a bit sketchy. Beautiful day to be up high on the East side.

Nice gettin' dude!

Machine assist? I could do that tour on one leg!!!

Just kidding. I was up there with JWPlotz on saturday. I aggrivated my hip on the road, and did most of the trip pulling my left leg uphill. Kinda brutal, but worth it.

Did not ride the CNC though. Snow looked like it was pretty nice in there.

You traveled the closed section of road on skis in both directions?

On the way up we skinned across the burn section on the closed road and followed a skin track up. On the way down, since the snow below 6,200 feet was crappy, we just traversed the burn section back to the trailhead, thus avoiding the alder chocked closed road. If the snow was better, I would have gone more fall line down to the road and then traverse back.

Good stoke Jay.  Thanks  :)
