We finally tracked down a little powder yesterday! N facing slopes east of Stevens and above about 3.5-4k skied very nice. Slopes that faced a little to the East had a touch of solar crust under a few inches of new, but were still really fun. Up higher (near 6k) there was quite a bit of wind, some slabbiness, and a few natural releases going on. A little filtered sunshine was hitting the ridge lines so maybe that was starting the little slides we saw.

We skipped the summit bid and stuck to the glades and the timber. They had the best snow anyways. FWIW, Jim Hill and Arrowhead would probably have skied really well above about 4k.

A little more snow would certainly open up more lines, but no complaints. It was really nice to find some soft snow.
