Great dawn-patrol trip up Lane Peak/The Fly Couloir. Darrin H. and I started climbing from the closed road to Reflection Lakes at about 6:30am. We found appropriate stream crossings, traversed to the apron run-out and climbed the couloir. Summitted a little after 9. Snow was consolidated and firm. We descended before any sun shown in the couloir - a bit crisp but we were still able to hold an edge. The snow was smooth generally with some small, frozen "chicken heads." The goods below in the sun were good. We were back on the road a little after 10am.
