Hyak: Telemetry showed 3" new snow with temps in mid to low 20s. More careful attention to the temps at higher elevation might have let us realize that the precip started as rain up higher and finished as freezing rain. 1/2 inch glassy breakable rain crust on a couple inches of softer stuff. We played at ice skiing down low at Hyak, then did beacon practice and came home early.
Nice enough day to be outside for awhile. Tons of little kids there trying XC skiing and Ski-for-all was out in force on the groomed trails.
