Left pretty early this morn with dogs in tow. Snow level was down past deception falls on the way up. Started from the lot with temps below 30, and snowing ligth to moderate. About 4-6 inches light dry snow in the weekenders skin track over night(thank you much!)
By the time I reached Yodelins high point, the snow was becoming pretty intense. I decended north and found nice light good turning snow in the trees for the first 1,000 or so. Little loose sloughs kept me company on the way down.
Temps down lower seemed warmer, and the snow was getting heavier. I was getting soaking wet. The next several hundred feet was a little more reactive. LAst few hundred feet where just crust ice.. Exited with a bang somewhere near smithbrook and split the ditch skinless back to the lot.
Small slabs where starting to intiate in expected spots.
