With Bachelor all tracked out, Tyler (chmnyboy) and I headed out Century Drive past the gate to Todd Lake. We climbed the ridge on the NW side of the lake to views of the Three Sisters and Broken Top, then descended the N face 900' down to Soda Springs. If we stayed light on our feet we were able to float on the 5 inches of fluff, otherwise our edges would catch on the crust below. We were able to get about 3500' before dusk set in and we had to head back to the Bachelor parking lot. Saw only one couple in the backcountry with AT gear.

With the forecast 3-5", this area should be great in the next few days.

Snow was bonded well to the crust, with failure only after many hits on the column with the entire arm
