The Good: Summitted Mt. Snoqualmie and could see Seattle from the top. Views of Chickamin, Mt. Stewart, Glacier Peak, Baker were phenomenal.

The Bad : Boot packed about half of the climb because skins didn't work too good on the very firm snow. It was super windy and about 45 degrees at the top, 20 degrees at the bottom. We intended to ski the slot, but didn't because we were with dog and nervous participant. The entrance appeared to be solid ice. I was bummed to turn back and ski total crap....

The Variable: Snow at the top was breakable death crust, transitioning into unbreakable crust (ice), transitioning into corn, transitioning into powdery dust on edgable crust. The Phantom actually skied really well. Weird to see an inverted snow line where the springtime, snowless trees are up high and the snow covered trees are down low.

Took one run on International afterwards and it was buffed out, super smooth, mostly edgable, and no people were there. Super fun and fast.
Thanks for the update. We rode the Slot on the 23rd and it was actually pretty fun, really only the entrance and first rollover was hard and the rest was filled in all right with light manageble windload and sluff from the cliffs. I guess the sun etc had it's way with it since then.
