Since the front country was reported by locals to be scary icy, we decided to head for Silver basin where the hazard was EXTREMEly safe. :)
There was a cool breeze and we were mostly in cloud until the skies cleared around 1pm. We found a full variety of snow conditions, but no bad breakable crust. The best snow was 3-4" powder still leftover from Nov 27 on the north slopes of Threeway Peak. We turkeys gave thanks as we carved it and the full moon rose
Much better than expected.

I think it was a heuristic trap thinking it was icy....... Just kidding. ;)
Thanks for the conditions update.
