Has anyone skied this in to the peak via the long ridge from the resort over table mountain, etcetera.  It looks like a scenic way in but I'm not sure what the terrain is like -- good bc hills to session on the NE or a more technical route to the summit (III+)? Is there a better ski descent for a decent blue skier?  Anyone interested in partnering for a three day trip?

Cheers,

Amar has a good overview of the routes on Baker (and all the other Cascade volcanoes).  The Easton is the most straightforward route, but is infested with snowmobiles.

The CD route via the Grouse Creek drainage (not Heliotrope Ridge Trail) is a nice "blue" ski route. By avoiding the Heliotrope trail section you add maybe another 2000 vft of really fun skiing if snow conditions are good. In my opinion, the best skiing on the route can be this lower non-glacier section. It is probably skiable now (has enough snow). There are also more black diamond areas here too. You should only have sleds on the Glacier Creek Road approach.

Good stuff!

Don't forget to POST in the correct place too - like Partner's Wanted or Random Tracks - you will probelly get a better response to your inquiry  ;)
