Chmnyboy, myself and my brother headed up to Pea Gravel Ridge today, where we found good snow, great views and absolutely zero wind.
Very pleasant day to be up on the mountain. Not a cloud in the sky.
Snow ranged from wind packed powder to wind scroured, but overall really enjoyable.
My apologies for the crappy pic quality. Both were taken with a cell phone.

Nice work you guys, looks like conditions were much better there than in Port Angeles. While I was at work today :( Jan and Jeff skied Hurricane Ridge. Temps were around freezing, clouds blocked all the views, but at least the road was open. :) !

Great shots of Pea Gravel ridge, and what an epic day! Takes me back to my days in Hood River. Gary, great to hear that the road to HR is open, anything to report on snow condition, stability, etc?
Stability seemed pretty rock solid. We dug a pit about 6000 ft on a NE aspect just off Pea Gravel ridge yesterday and got basically nothing shearing with hard shoulder taps, except for the top inch of wind affected new snow. It looked like there's an old rain layer about 2.5 ft down, but seemed pretty well bonded.
As nice of a day it was up there yesterday, I'm ready for more snow...
