The Coq I'm talking about is white, powdery and gets you all hyped up. It's the Coquihalla, of course! We camped at Juliet Cr. Rd., near the freeway, and took sleds up to the summer TH (approx. 10K of road) Sleds can go past this point, but at this time there are deep holes and bent over trees blocking the old road. Skinned from there on crust and up to the summit of July Mtn. (2125m) This elevation was just high enough to provide decent snow quality and a good ski off one of the summit chutes. Below Drum Lk. we did rain runnel power slides!
Great photos !

No, it is in B.C. http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/coquihalla/index.htm The area around #8 on the map is one of the 2 or 3 best back country skiing locations near Vancouver...less than 2 hours drive after you cross the border.
really shows the sled=access potential. would take way too long with human power. Nice views btw
Ben, I hope the posts answered your questions. Maybe in the spring, with longer days and the ability to drive a portion of the road you might try it? Thanks for the photo comments...
Dang dude....soon you'll be posting all your TRs on slednw.com Just kiddin'.....got your spot checks...awesome!
