Broke out of the fog just below Pan Pt and spent the rest of the climb to Muir in the sun above the clouds. 3-6" of new above refreezing wet snow at the lot that strengthened to a crust by the time we got to Pan Pt. Very windy above 8500 ft that turned most of the higher elevation slopes into some combination of wind pressed snow, pockets of softer wind blown and scoured crust. Good skiing between 9000 ft and Pan Pt. Below Pan Pt the old snow hadn't fully refrozen and the snow surface was marred by rain runnels and snow shoe tracks.
Quiet day up there -- there was only one other skier on the snowfield.
