Went up on Mount Hood Friday and had a good morning of powder. I dug a pit down about 3 feet. This was broken into 3 sections 2 notable slabs and then a top 2 inch sluff producer. The first slab was about 1.5 feet thick and broke at 5 swings from the shoulder using the "tap test". I dug this pit at 6800 feet SE aspect, 42 degree slope.
