Headed up to Paradise with Gilbert to check out the new snow overnight. We sat at Longmire and had breakfast while waiting for the gate to open promptly at 10am. Neither of us were excited about going above Pan Point, so we opted for a shorter tour out to Mazama Ridge.

The snow started out fluffy and light, with a consolidation about 8-10" down. Likely from the recent rain cycle that came through. The sun came out periodically and by the end of the day, a solid crust had formed on top of the snow. This could cause some increased avy danger when the next round of snow hits. Keep an eye out.

All in all, it was a great day to ease back into snowboarding and climbing mountains. Sorry, no pics.
Did you loose your camera on the tour again? way to get after it mid week...

Nope. No lost camera this tour. That makes three tours in a row without loosing a camera!!!! Just lazy and left it at home. Gilbert might have a few pics though.

Hi Dan---where did you ski on the ridge?
