The road was drivable to mile 7 with a 4wd. No sled necessary for easy access...Ascended the main chute in a driving, cold wind which was transporting lots of snow. Those persons 10 min. back in the skin track were treated to fresh trailbreaking! Snowcover is much less on this side of the mtn. (1/2 or less) than the ski area side, due to the snow shadow and wind scouring. Lighting was fair for the day and no natural or skier triggered slides were observed. Skied both Heliotrope and Marmot sides.
