For me this was a must ski day, and I had no trouble getting partners.  Steve, Wayne and myself decided that the best terrain would be something at or near the tree line (6k on hood), as the cloud ceiling was low, and wetter conditions prevailed below 5k.  considering the time of year snow conditions were good.  no wind effect, with a uniform depth of 30" to 40". The temp managed to stay at or below freezing all day.  Since this was all deposited in one storm cycle it did make for rather exhausting touring, and made it necessary to ski steeper terrain.  The usual early season low angle  slopes were un-skiable.  With a little work and good luck we were able to find a good mix of trees and glades with little to no rock with slope angles ~30 degrees.
Looks like fun!  We were out at Hoodo and had similar conditions, though not quite as much snow!  It should get better later this week.
