Conditions: about 2 inches of snow at the trailhead (3700ft), 12 inches at 5000ft (no base), and the glacier above and west of the hogsback had 4 to 12 inches of fluff over a more solid base of new snow followed by glacier ice.

The glacier skied great, but crevasses are still a major concern. We skied down to 5200ft but will need to break out the P-tex before our next trip. One more good storm and skiing to treeline will be possible (providing there isnít a big melt from the predicted warm day on Friday).

It was a great October ski day.
