after skiing the resort (Mammoth), and it had to close, due to high moisture content and warm temps, its back at home for what is called the sand dunes (Mt Rose Highway). it's a small part of our regular BC, but it is almost a due north aspect so it is keeping the base (which is 7 ", and 3" of pow type snow yesterday). * and the "Sierra Gold" is in fine form (the Aspens, & Cottonwoods) ! Hard to believe its Oct. (with the snow)

yaa, hey buddy. maybe you guys will be gettin some. Mammoth hasnt opened in Oct. since 94. so its pretty rare, for the Sierra. Reno and its Mt Rose Hiway is where I start the seasons. The lower sun angle - and the North aspect is how it dont melt out.
