July 3 Blueberry Chutes

Snowpack is much less than last year. was able to ski to the car last July 1. This year, continuous snow doesn't start until the Blueberry Gate. Easy shoe trip all the way to the high point of the upper apron. 65o went we hit the snow even in the AM hours, and 80 by the time we got back down by elevenish.

The usual suncupping, dirt and debris, but the north steeps were very very nice to ski. Only 2 chutes holding snow now. North chute is in good shape. Grandma's right is done for, Grandma's left is okay, but not for long. Moats are opening at the choke. Currently about 9' across.

Skied down to the lake for a nice 1500'.
