After some derision from hiking companions and 5 miles of carrying through pretty dry, warm, green and brown country, we were rewarded with corn snow at Headlight Basin at Ingalls Peak, and had the last laughs. Met one other skier, Derek, who was making nice tele turns. Snow is still pretty full in some wide areas, but runnels are developing and it is firmly suncupped, less so in shaded NE facing slopes or gullies. Several fun, continuous 600-700 VF runs. Three groups of goats with kids checked us and seemed to herd us along one stretch.
