Still good snow on Mt. Lassen. Andrew, Allyson and I hiked to the top on the summer trail then we descended the southeast face. Snow was pretty smooth for about 1300 vf., then a few bumps near the bottom. We peeked over the northeast face -- looked darn smooth and oh so tasty. Ran into a colleague on the summit. He hiked the trail to the top, then dropped into the northeast face. Happy as a clam. Snow should hold for at least 2-3 more weeks, maybe longer if you don't mind more hiking than skiing :).

I am thinking about going to Shasta then towards Lassen!
