Went up around noon on the 9th with friend Michael. Was warm, but not stupid warm.
Spent the night at 9200, got about 2 inches of snow in the early evening.
The Fuhrer's Finger was pockmarked and was mostly full of penitentes, un skiable by me, but I think another party got some turns in. We took a wrong turn and we straight up at 12,000. I put a leg into a crevasse, exciting. We proceeded down the wrong path for 200 feet before turning around and calling it a day. Visability was variable, much fog, we did not even try to ski the Finger, which has been a long term goal, boot packed due to surface conditions.
Next year, I am hoping to hit it in time.

Justin, Great TR. Could you please post a few photos that might increase the enjoyment factor of an old guy sitting at a terminal and working on a boating adventure. ;D
