Overnight with Andy (lowrider), accessed via DeRoux TH.  Started skinning at c. 5000 feet.  Evening turns from notch W of Gallagher Head.  Skinned to "central saddle" (per Beckey), walked ridge to true summit, saw several TAY names in summit register.  Socked in, no views.  Skied SE slope from near central saddle.  Fun soggy corn with adequate coverage down to c. 5000', where we packed skis/boots and walked back to TH.  No pollen issues.  Fun weekend.  c. 2000' verts on Sunday.  Pics at
Nice. Not many Hawkins posts.
I did Hawkins in June of 07, but only got about 500' vertical. Seems like your trip was much more enjoyable skiing wise.

SG,

Hawkins Mountain is the big rocky ridge on the Big Boulder Cr./Fortune Cr. divide, located c. 7 miles SW of Mt. Stuart, c. 5 SW of Ingalls Peak, c. 5 mi. N of Jolly Mtn.  Hawkins (especially its steep 2000+' N face) is prominent from many vantage points.  If you've spend much time on summits in the East Central Cascades on clear days, you've likely seen Hawkins.
