A joint ACC/BCMC trip organized by Dan Friedmann. Great spring skiing on the N side of Goat Mountain in Washington State. Clouds kept the snow at reasonable temperature, however, the yellow dust (pollen?) is everywhere so skiing slopes below 30-35 is not very smooth.
Saw a major N facing cornice failure, perhaps 2-3 days old.
The road is open and driveable to the middle switchbacks (trailhead for Gold Run Pass and Tomyhoi Lake). Walked from there for 1.1 km, crossed the Swamp Creek and headed up the N gully to gain the North amphitheatre.
