This was one of those you never know until you try trips.
Drizzle in Auburn and Enumclaw but surprisingly dry going through the Greenwater banana belt. And for rest of drive to Fryingpan TH. Some sunbreaks and sprinkles on hike in.
That continuous snow the folks had last week got hit with this week's heatwave so I did not put planks on until about 1 mile from FP Creek and bare shortly before bridge. Just looking at snow after bridge I knew it would be pollen time down low and was not disappointed.
First pic was at about 1030a when clouds started to lift at about 7500'.
Lots of tracks but no skis on FP Glacier route. Several ski parties camped at Summerland and had a dry Saturday night.
Lots of boot climbers coming and going to Little Tahoma. Second pic shows some of their tracks on upper Whitman.
Top 1800' was great then after coming off the crest the brakes were applied to my bases. Not sure if looks as bad as JoeCat since I have black bases.
