I'm almost hesitant to post as I'd hate to see the local and quickly diminishing snowpack get trampled, but all is still a go into Chair Peak Basin.  It may be worn and probably old hat to most, but how can you beat a 1/2 day tour w/ excellent corn descents with such an easy drive.  Safe and solid base. 1 hour to boot pack, up chute in 15 (rotted section in middle required some rock climbing), uninterrupted descent into Snow Lake, walk down middle of lake back, easy hike out for return.  I'm thinking of doing it again next week.  What a great spring season we're having.  Couple pics of chute up south ridge and descent down north side.

How was the coverage on the trail out to source lake?

Beauty, thanks for posting.  I'm going to take my entire local high school out there Saturday morning...  ;)

I'm going to inform the Mountaineers that snow conditions are excellent for a team glissading practise.
Thanks for the information. ;D
