I just did my very first AT trip of my life and LOVED IT! I have not been on skis in over 10 years so I was a little nervous about coming down, but it really is like riding a bike. I may not have the nerves that I did when I was younger, but I was able to make it down. We made it to Muir by 10:15 am and headed down by about 11:00 am. The snow from Muir to Pebble Creek was FANTASTIC! Pebble creek and beyond it was quite heavy and sloppy. I was pleased with my new skis in the slop, but was quite spoiled from the Muir snowfield ride. Next time I will plan on hitting Muir by 8 am and promptly heading down to avoid the slop. I can't wait to do some touring this winter!!!

ps. Thanks to those of you who gave advice on Dynafit bindings. Love them!
Whats not to love?? Welcome to the darkside young jedi.

Welcome, welcome, Welcome...and remember...most problems in life can be solved with elevation gain and those sweet turns that come after...
