Left the parking lot at 7:23 am with a couple other groups present.  The trip out to Source Lake is no problem.  Nice and consolidated.  The gully up from the lake to the bottom of the pass was really soft and mushy.  There's a nice track up it but it might be easier to stick in the trees on the right side of the gully where the snow was more supportable.  Up in the pass the snow was fine but frozen on the east side where the shadow was.  We got to the top about 9:30 am (we weren't in a huge rush) and waited around for the snow to soften until about 10:30 am or so.  The ski down was in deep slush.  We kept towards the center of the bowl and my partner knocked out a small hisser at the very top.  No other problems (other than my skiing) on the way down.  Just soft, relatively stable mush.  The east side of the pass is virtually untracked and we left it that way.  Skiing the gully was fun, in and out of the trees.  Back at the trailhead about noon.

Saw one slide come off Chair Peak and over a cliff band around noon.
