May 23 ,2009, Chinook Pass

Dave , Jeff and I Left my house at 5 and were standing on the top of NAches false summitt at 830 . Even taking time to let two deer have the road for a couple hundred feet choosing a spot for them to exit the road.
Good hard crust to skin up on but slopes went quickly to mush. tried some different aspects to no avail. set off a few hissers .There just hasn't been the cold nights for good corn development at that elevation. Beautiful morning though and we counterclockwise toured  NAches. Lots of snow up there hoping to be corn. I did find a small camera/cellphone ? case  belonging to one of the tourers we met going in while we were exiting. If it's yours pm me.
