Weather was iffy, so I made the 4 mile drive to the local ski area. 10000' freezing level the past week destroyed plenty of snow, so there was now a half hour approach before the skis could be used. Too lazy to traverse to the classic spring ski line, I just went straight up a gully toward Widdersberg. Good "summer snow" as they call it here.
TAY reports indicate corn harvest is beginning in the Pacific NW, and tours are still skiable from the car. Time to return home to beers stashed in the snow instead of served in the cafe with struedel and stroganoff.
