Considerable avalanche danger.
Good skiing, snow more stable than last wk-end.
Don and Hudson Beavon, Art Freeman, and myself.
Left Blue-Lk tr. hd. about 9a.m.
Walkable crust to the base of So. Early Winter Spire (SEWS).
1 ft slabby wind-deposited snow up to the high col.
S face wanted to slide 4" down to last wk-ends sun-crust. Many skier triggered slides where you would expect them. Many natural point releases entraining dangerous amounts of snow on sun affected slopes steeper than 35 degrees. Otherwise good butter skiing.
Much evidence of pt. release to mixed slab avalanches most aspects 5k to 7k ft. Pinwheels still soft enough to ski through.
Side trip up ridge to Copper Pt. Deeper (1 ft) soft snow deposited on leward (N) slopes. Slab slides only on steeper pockets of N slopes.
Released 4" loose slabs on E aspects in avy paths skiing back down to the hairpin.
